Paul Robeson's album "Songs for Free Men" was recorded in 1942 by Columbia Records.  It contains 4 78 RPM vinyl records which have a single song on each side.  It consists of "songs of Russian, Spanish, German and American origin which express eloquently the faith of free men everywhere and their determination that ideals of freedom and good will shall prevail throughout the world at whatever cost." (from inner cover).

The songs are:

record 1 (Russian): From Border to Border / Oh How proud the quiet Don

record 2 (American): The Purest Kind of a Guy / Joe Hill

record 3 : (German) The Peat Bog Soldiers / (Spanish)The Four insurgent Generals

Record 4 (Russian): The Song of the Plains / Native Land

The album covers have wear on the edges, but the sleeves inside are in very good condition.  The records are also in good condition and have been played to test quality.  Although they have small gray spots on the surfaces (? mold), all play without skipping, sticking or endless looping.  There is the scratchy quality inherent in records of this era.
