Hello, I am a long-time eBay seller - since October, 1999.  I have a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence.  I have collected records for many years and every record I offer comes from my personal collection.  The grade I specify for the vinyl is based upon a playback as well as a visual inspection.  The grade I assign for the cover and inserts (if any) is based upon a close visual inspection.
For sale today is a fine copy of Grateful Dead's classic Terrapin Station album issued on the Arista label in 1977 in the rare white label promo format.     The vinyl looks Near Mint.  It lies flat, and retains much of its original sheen and shine, but there are a couple of light wispy marks on both sides if you look very hard (the light type of lines resulting from removing and inserting the vinyl into and out of its inner sleeve).  Really, the vinyl looks essentially unplayed (although I have played it to confirm its sound quality - see below).  The white labels are also in NM condition: white with no writing or marks.  Of historic interest, I note that the run-off on Side One has several notations, one of which says "Where Do You Keep Your Stereo, Jer."  I assume this is an inside joke between Jerry Garcia and the record engineers and I find it interesting and kind of funny. (see photo)
As to sound quality, the vinyl plays Near Mint.  There are no sticks or skips, no pops or ticks.  It plays fantastic!
The outer cover is in strong VG condition.  Colors are full and vibrant, front and back.  The seams and spine are fully intact, no splits or tears.  However, there is a bit of ring wear front and back as well as wear to all four corners.  Also, the bottom left corner (as viewed from the front) has a "push" or crinkle, as shown in the photos.  The front cover has two stickers as shown in the photo.  I do not know what the white sticker references, but printed on it in very small print is information about a media company.  The back cover has a stamp in gold print identifying the record as a demonstration copy.
The original inner sleeve is included and grades VG++ to Near Mint: just a small wrinkle or two, no tears or splits. (see photo)
Since I purchased this album, I have stored the vinyl in an archival inner sleeve, which I then placed in a generic white separate cardboard cover to best protect both the vinyl as well as the original outer sleeve (see photo).  Both the archival inner sleeve and the generic white outer cover will be included with the purchase and the record will be shipped in them.  I have also stored the original outer cover in a separate outer plastic sleeve to further protect it from damage while in my care.  This separate outer plastic sleeve will also be included with the purchase and the sleeve will be shipped in it.
Thanks for looking.
