"WAKE UP AMERICA!" is one of the very last Colpix album featuring Hanna-Barbera characters. It is very unique because Chuck McCann--the versatile character actor and writer--plays everyone from Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo and Cindy Bear to Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw!
It features original songs, comedy patter and a full orchestra. Chuck was well-known for his gentle comedy satire, and this album is as much in his style as Hanna-Barbera's. You may have seen him as Oliver Hardy on the Anco Windshield Wiper commercials (he was one of the founders of the Sons of the Desert Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society) and countless movies and TV shows like "Far Out Space Nuts," "Herbie Rides Again," "The Projectionist," "Cool McCool" and many many more.
