1977’s Saturday Night Fever, the low-budget ethnography about Italian guys in some of Brooklyn’s sketchier neighborhoods, wasn’t just a movie about disco: it was the movie about disco. The white suit John Travolta’s upstart wears for the film’s climactic dance contest instantly became iconic, as did many of the movie’s shots and set pieces. Its soundtrack was an even bigger smash—the best-selling album of all time, in fact, until the release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. How big and broad was Saturday Night Fever’s appeal? In 1978, the Children’s Television Workshop released Sesame Street Fever—a parody whose cover features Grover in John Travolta’s signature pose and Ernie, Bert, and The Cookie Monster standing in for the Bee Gees. Even that album went gold.

DESCRIPTION AND GRADING BELOW

Please read entire item description below before bidding impulsively, as there may be a specific mention of detail or wear on the vinyl or cover that you may not have had the time to read about, yet, I have described.  I test my records by playing them completely through unless NM or Sealed (in order to protect their quality) before listing. I do not get dissuaded by surface scratches on albums, that does not mean the Album skips so please be comfortable if you receive one from me with them - as the records are previously owned.

If you are unhappy, I offer a return period. I also encourage you to contact me via email if you find the record is not as I represented. The grading itself is sometimes subjective though I have tried hard to use some type of standard.  The detailed grading I use is Goldmine Standard or eBay Standard.

Description:  The album itself is clean with some cosmetic scratches. The gatefold cover has one seam split along the bottom, colors are still bright on the jacket. The inner sleeves are printed with all the credits to folks producing the soundtrack. I have to give it a VG+ as it just sounds that good!!

Grading:  A (VG+) Record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences.  The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Inserts/sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split.
