Of course these shouldn't be just one set of the Beethoven 9 symphonies in any serious collection. But if you want a set that epitomize the great German/Austral tradition, it has to be this monumental achievement by Otto Klemperer! No, they are not the earliest silver/blue SAX's, but if you're a music lover type of collector rather than a label fanatic, this nice set will fit nicely and will set you off only a fraction of the price you'll pay for a SINGLE silver/blue one!
