The Beatles/Yesterday & Today (Butcher Cover-2nd State Mono-Paste-over)/Capitol T2553 (1966) First off, the record included with this cover is not in good shape. It plays, it is scratchy and noisy, the labels are fine. This sale is all about the cover. This is a very nice 2nd state mono paste-over butcher cover. The paste-over is VG+ or better with only light, general wear. Ringo's V-neck black turtleneck is clearly visible through the paste-over. All seams are intact. There is a small area of the spine, lower left with a split, about an inch. The rest of the spine is intact and very readable, as shown. This is a Scranton pressing bearing the RIAA number 3...so it's an early pressing. This copy has a pristine VG++ 1966 Capitol original inner sleeve, as shown. This will be shipped with the record in a white sleeve outside the jacket, to protect both the jacket and the original inner while in transit. The jacket will be sleeved in plastic, and double-boxed in a specially designed, oversized "wing box" with extensions that protect the jacket corners. This item will be insured for full sale value prior to shipping.
