PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ THE ENTIRE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!!!
This LP was hit with water damage, so please read description carefully. Water damage effects only the lower half of the cover.
Up for sale is one (1) The Cult - Sonic Temple original / vintage LP from 1989 on Sire Records (#9-25871-1). Produced by Bob Rock.
Includes the big hit FIRE WOMAN.
THIS IS BEING PRICED ACCORDINGLY DUE TO SOME WATER DAMAGE.
HAS STERLING ETCHED IN THE DEADWAX. ALSO HAS DMM ETCHED IN THE DEADWAX, signaling a high quality Digital Metal Mastering.
THIS IS NOT A RECENT RE-RELEASE LP OR ANY OF THAT OTHER RECORD STORE DAY CRAP. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL / VINTAGE LP FROM 1989.
This LP is getting harder to find as LPs were being phased out for CDs in the late 1980's.
Regarding the vinyl: The LP itself has some very minor visual staining that may cause some surface / background noise, mostly noticeable during the quieter parts. It is very hard to see any trace of water damage on the vinyl itself, you really have to look closely. Actually, if I didn't personally know that it was hit with water you would be hard pressed to see it. The cover took the brunt of it.
The vinyl is still in VERY GOOD condition. The surface marks do not cause any skips. The record plays all the way through without skipping. I recently played this LP all the way through and it still SOUNDS GREAT.
The labels are in Very Good condition with some minor spindle marks and some light staining.
The cover is in FAIR condition with some water damage that caused some peeling and blistering and, including, but not limited to corner dings, crumples, bends, white peeling / fade spots, and ring wear, etc... There are NO split seams. Water damage effects only the lower half of the cover.
The custom inner lyric sleeve has some water damage as well, but not too bad and does have a split seam in the the bottom.
I obtained this LP in 1989. It was gently played many times back in the day.
