Hank WILLIAMS; SING ME A BLUE SONG 1960 Second Pressing, Mono  Black Label with Colored Logo
This is the second issue of this record.  It is a compilation of songs Hank Williams left in MGM storage when he died suddenly in 1953.  The quality of the re-recording is excellent. The record itself has shallow scratches, almost all of which are not audible.  It has a deep groove around the spindle, which ordinarily would signal a yellow label for a first edition, but this second edition of the recording can be spotted by its black center label.
Aside from these logistic concerns, the auditory problems are well covered through the re-recording. Even the mono covers many of the "pops" that develop in 78 rpm records over time.
This is a worthy compilation of the songs and singing of a man who became an American legend.
