Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one  featuring The Doors.

A few unique things about this item:
Firstly, this record retain the original shine with only a few apparent groove marks on the "Love me two times" track (I played thru that as well as the entire disc and found maybe a few very light pops on that track) grading by sight in normal room light.   I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint.  I took the time to play it and found the tracks to audibly average well above VG+(excellent).  You can assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE BELOW!.      

Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ than how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3),  NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).  

Here is a summary of the record(s):

  Artist:The Doors Title:Greatest hits Record:Black vinyl with the original shine with no visible imperfections other than some groove wear on one track (that yielded a few very light pops)  grading by sight in normal room light.    Labels:Red with black print, white Elektra.   No stickers, no pen/pencil marks, some spindle marks on side 1, some center hole wear on side 2. Trailing wax:Side 1: "5E-515-A-SP EDP ARNIE".  Side 2: "5E-515-B-SP EDP ARNIE". Inner sleeve(s):An original sleeve with a picture of Jim Morrison on one side, in fine shape. Cover:Corners slightly worn, a few creased tips.  A punch hole near the upper spine corner.  No seam splits, no stickers, no pen/pencil marks.  Some small nicks around the edges, some seam wear.  A few short crinkles off the edges and a 2" crinkle front upper right quadrant.  Slight general/ring wear.  Rate the cover VG to VG+(excellent), closer to VG.   You can assign your own grade based on my comments. Comments:I played the entire disc and found the tracks to audibly average well above VG+(excellent) .  You can assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE SHOWN!.   A great addition to your LP collection.

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)  3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise  3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops  VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)  VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise  G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise 

I normally ship single LP records in a 13x13x2 box.  Weight with box is about 1 pound 2 oz.  Shipping is 1-2 pounds Media Rate, $3.82 + $1.20 box = $5.02

Alternatively, I can ship in a  14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 11 oz. Shipping is $3.82 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing  = $5.52.

This auction is currently set to ship in the smaller box.  If you want the larger box, let me know and I'll send an appropriate invoice.

Buyer pays shipping/handling.
