The First LP. 220 gram vinyl *. Columbia ML4001 Milstein Mendelssohn Violin Concerto Bruno Walter. This is the very first LP in the first LP envelope carrying the first LP label, pressing 1B, matrix number XLP 276 & 277. The condition is a solid VG+ .

These are truly scarce, selling for $250 to $500. The days of finding it in a box of LPs at Goodwill may be over. Probably 20,000 pressed, perhaps only a few dozen survive. I have 8 left I found through the 1980s and 1990s. That was me you saw on my knees at a dusty box between the flea market gun dealer and the guy selling live chickens. Im 77 years old and when mine are sold out, well, theyre gone. This is the FIRST LP....tis hard to imagine an LP collection missing this historical pressing. Thanks for lookin.

*Vinyl means a CoPolymer of Vinyl Chloride Acetate Chemically thats C2H3CL +C4H6O2.
