This hard to find original Motown recorded 7 minute long version of the dance classic sounds as fresh today as it did on the day of the short version's release in 1976.
The 12" vinyl format came into existence in July of 1976, so a physical 12" of this song did not exist at the time of the early 1976 release date of the single. This 1976 recording sneaked out as a "B" side in 1980 and is NOT a remix but a long version extended made by Motown ( please see the label).
So if you add this rare vinyl to your collection, you will not be disappointed.

The twelve-inch single (written as 12-inch or 12″) is a type of (Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC) pressed with wider groove spacing and longer playing time than a 7” single and with fewer related sound tracks on each surface, compared to a 12” (long play) which have several songs on each side with micro grooves.
This produces louder audible levels to be cut on the disc by the mastering engineer which in turn gives a wider , resulting in better and higher sound quality. This record type started to be used in nightclubs / disco’s and with various dance music genres, where use them as demo discs or one sided promo’s (see “Dub plates”) before record labels saw them as a viable commercial format.
They are played at either 33+1⁄3 or 45 rpm. The conventional usually holds three or four minutes of music at full volume. The 12‐inch LP sacrifices volume for extended playing time. In 1976 the 12‐inch single was created as a hybrid of then recording formats.
