RECORD: VG (strong)

NOTES: Original first UK Stereo pressing. Laminated cover looks nice and clean, but had to give a VG for some corner creases and some unnecessary clear tape repair near bottom right corner. Record is tough to grade because it has no scratches or marks, but it could use a good solid cleaning. There is some residue that should clean off at start of side; also a few dusty or smudge spots that should also clean off with a VPI or similar method. As it is, this is still an enjoyable listen with some clicks and surface noise in spots. I think it can be upgraded to at least VG+ and maybe better.

GRADES: SEALED, NM, EXC, VG+, VG, VG-, G, FAIR, POOR.

I grade strictly under bright light. My highest grade for an unsealed record is NM (NEAR MINT) - a record must look like new to be graded NM! An EXC record will show only slight signs of prior play. A VG+ is a solid used record that should play well but has minor visual flaws. A VG has more obvious flaws BUT is not trashed. Records graded VG- or worse will often play much better than they look.
