This is an early press of HOT RATS by Frank Zappa! It is numbered RS6356. On the inside, gate-fold are many photos of Mr. Zappa, one of Ian Underwood at sound console and holding a saxophone, and one of Captain Beefheart holding a bullet-shaped vacuum cleaner. Also, there's the lyrics to the song, Willie the Pimp, several lines of player credits, the song list and running time for each cut.

The disc is in remarkably good, clean, unblemished condition. It shows no surface abrasion and few scratches. I tested several tracks and did not find any skips or major pops or clicks. One owner, bought first month of release.

The cover is in good condition. The edges are moderately frayed. The pocket has long ago been reinforced with magic transparent tape and is strong, solid. The spine is worn, not terribly distracting. Inside the cover is the amazing, 24 inch wide gate-fold, mentioned above! You'll want to stand it on your coffee table or bar.
The inner sleeve is original. It features a high contrast image of Frank and another gentleman standing behind a microphone. In the dark area, in reverse, is the image part of the Bizarre Records logo, a reproduction of an antique engraving (a device for pulling a vacuum under a glass bell), along with the Bizarre Records statement: 'We make records that are a little different. We present musical and sociological material which the important record companies would probably not allow you to hear. Just what the world needs . . . another record company.' Indeed.
On the other side of the inner sleeve is a passage from the 1st amendment to the United States constitution.
