This is rock legend Buddy Holly with the The Crickets singing "That'll Be The Day" on Brunswick 55009 from 1957. This #1 chart record looks to be a strong VG++ with very minor surface markings but plays in NM condition and comes in a Brunswick Records company sleeve. The picture sleeve is a custom sleeve made in Canada or England and is in MINT condition. This sleeve is a one-off sleeve that was not mass produced. This item comes in a clear, resealable, poly-vinyl protective sleeve with a cardboard backer separating the record from the picture sleeve. Buddy Holly's death in a plane crash in 1959 has been referred to by Don McLean as "the day the music died". But out of the ashes classic rock emerged.  "That'll Be The Day" will always be recognized as one of the iconic records in rock history.
