This was part of John Edmunds' personal university music collection. Mr Edmunds was the director of the LSU Marching Tigers back in the late 60s and early 70s. He had several contacts in the marching and symphonic band circles. I believe he worked at FSU for a short time near the end of his career.

Rare 7LP box set from the Florida State University music bands. All departments of the band divisions are represented here.
FSU Wind Ensemble FSU Symphonic Band FSU Jazz Ensemble FSU Marching Chiefs

Cover has corner breaks, so it is rated as VG or VG-. Please see pics. Some moderate foxing spots/discoloration as seen.
The LPs are ins surprisingly good condition compared to the cover. Almost all grade a very solid EX with some of the later discs dropping to VG++ or a very high VG+. Very few light paper scuffs and small hairlines on those few discs.
The first 3 discs represent the wind ensemble and symphonic bands. Most of these 3 discs contain performances of classical music.  Discs 4, 5, and 6 represent the Jazz ensemble with titles like "I never Meant to Hurt You" "White Tornado" "Double Fault Blues" "Blue Orleans", and more. Disc 7 features the FSU Marching chiefs. See pics for a sampling of titles.

Richard Mayo was the first drum major of the Marching Chiefs to serve under Manley Whitcomb. He went on to a successful public school teaching career and earned a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University before returning to his alma mater. One of his many accomplishments during his time as FSU Director of Bands was the release of the recordings Bach, Rock, and All That Jazz featuring all FSU Bands at that time (Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble with professional solo artists, and Marching Chiefs in a seven-record set). In 1974, Mayo and the Marching Chiefs were invited to perform at the World Trade Fair in Damascus, Syria. Bach, Rock, and All That Jazz, as well as a concert group of FSU faculty and students, performed and were accompanied on the trip by University President, J. Stanley Marshall. At the conclusion of the Syrian performances, the groups were invited by King Hussein of Jordan to perform in Amman for the Jordanian people and the Royal Family. It was after the recognition the group received for this trip that they came to be known as the “world renowned” Florida State University Marching Chiefs.
