The Top Hits: June 5, 1967
Six 5 minute "programs" or segments with
legendary N.Y.C. WMCA "Good Guys" radio
DJ Harry Harrison playing hits or obscure
pop songs the labels are promoting.
He reads advertising copy promoting the U.S. ARMY
and usually interviews, VERY BRIEFLY, the artist.
Visually graded, VPI Machine-cleaned vinyl
and clean labels. We spot-checked the sound:
there's very low-level random unobtrusive
surface noise audible between songs when
Harry Harrison is interviewing the artist
for that track, and reading advertising copy
promoting the U.S. Army's various programs.
The jacket is FAIR due to water damage
on the bottom 3 inches that's not too obvious
on the front, but plainly visible with a missing,
delaminated patch of paper and water staining -
- see photos. Spine is intact.
Top edge has some splitting of the lamination paper,
but not really a true seam-split.
There is no printing on the back.
Each segment is 5 minutes long and has
a "lock groove" at the end, so to play each program,
one must lift the needle and move it
carefully to the beggining of the next track.
