Hello everyone.
A FIRST PRESSING of "MEET THE BEATLES" WITH NO PUBLISHING CREDITS ON THE LABEL.
Capitol Records was in such a rush to release the LP that on the first run instead of taking the time to check for song clearances they simply pressed the copies. People wonder how many copies of this rarity were made. At that time a pressing run for a pop album would go anywhere from 1000 to 1500 until the stamper needed to be changed for quality assurances. Taking into consideration how popular the album was it's not easy to find a copy that the cover and vinyl isn't completely trashed.
What an exhilarating feeling it is to hold this package. The thickness of the record - which was made at the Scranton plant - is typical of the manufacturing of that era.
Look at the photos if you haven't already and you'll see a cover that still has its ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK!!  There are no bendings and no wearing thanks to the wrapping! Comes with its original dark blue royal company inner sleeve. Later inner sleeves were changed to a lighter shade of blue.  The cover is Very Good Plus!!!!!  Check that - EXCELLENT!!!!
Now about the vinyl itself -  The stamped information in the dead wax is as follows: Side 1: T-X-2047 G 2 Side 2: T-X-2047 F 1    There's a scuff on the first two tracks of Side 1 which do not affect play. You'll see them in photo 7 No skipping!!!!  AT ALL!!!! The vinyl plays Very Good Plus Plus!!!! Check that - EXCELLENT!!!!
When you play it I know you'll agree.  *You saw what looked to be a crack in the label on Side 1 and yeah you were worried. It's a scratch on the label and does not affect the record. Photo 9 is there to settle your fears. Photo 7 also shows white spots on the record. They're dust spots.
