Mr. Alan Parsons's first in a line of classic themed LP's, Tales of Mystery & Imagination is simply a masterpiece. Poe's tales are brought to life in what was at the time an exciting way of making records. His approach of creating a theme for an album, then creating songs for it made him an instant hit. He defined Progressive music. This record is Excellent, the album jacket and inner jacket are in Good condition. This LP has that real "solid" feel to it, before they started making them thinner. A classic from the 70's, as good today as in 1976.

We are both long-time vinyl fans. We still have LP's we had in the 70's. We have taken care of albums for a long time. We have learned how to along the way. We thoroughly clean our LP's and then play them to ensure no issues before listing. Following this we use a fresh sleeve for the LP, and a plastic album sleeve to protect the cover art. Please thoroughly clean and dry the LP prior to play. This is true for your first play of a new LP and each time thereafter. There are a host of various cleaning methods online to choose from.

There is nothing today that so thoroughly involves the listener like playing LP's, especially on quality equipment. Quality equipment is essential for quality sound. Cheap equipment can damage the LP and the needle and is more likely to cause skips. It is assumed the listener has invested in good equipment so skips should be less likely. A balanced tone arm, aligned needle, and leveled turntable are so essential to a quality listening experience. A lack of either of these can cause a disappointing experience.

We rate our LP's via the well-established Gold Mine LP rating method. That said, ratings are a matter of opinion- so a Near Mint LP to one is a Good LP to another. Some minor scratches or scuffs may be present, but they usually don't affect play.
