The First LP - Set Of 5 Columbia ML 4001 - In Each Of The 5 Sleeves From 1948. The Columbia dealers raised hell about the cheap kraft paper top open envelope this pressing was released in. Columbia responded quickly with the heavier cardboard side open sleeve in red, yellow and green with the original graphics by Alex Steinweiss. They finally added the color slick by Meyers Monogram with the 4 tuning pegs. These 5 sleeves are each quite rare today. I acquired mine in the 90's. That was me you saw on my hands and knees, pawing through dusty boxes of LPs between the flea market gun dealer and the guy selling live chickens. So now they can be yours for an absurd price. Thanks for lookin'.
