PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, FULL LENGTH VERSION OF THE ALBUM WITH 10 SONGS, AND NOT -- I REPEAT: NOT - THE LATER "ABRIDGED" REISSUE WITH TWO TRACKS MISSING.

GOOD LUCK FINDING A COPY THAT IS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP WITH THE ORIGINAL HYPE STICKER.

PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME! But you will hear surface noise typical with a Very Good+ grading.

Up for sale is one(1) Don McLean - American Pie 1971 ORIGINAL UNABRIDGED PRESSING in the ORIGINAL SHRINK with HYPE STICKER on United Artists Records (#UAS-5535). THERE IS NO BARCODE. 

Includes the original brown custom inner sleeve with the poem about William Boyd A.K.A. Hopalong Cassidy. THE BROWN INNER SLEEVE WAS REMOVED WITHIN 3 MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL RELEASE. LATER ISSUES DID NOT INCLUDE THE SLEEVE WITH THE POEM. 

THIS LP FEATURES THE BIG HIT "AMERICAN PIE". 
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition, but has visual surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good+ grading. Even with a Very Good+ grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticeable during the quiet parts. 

The sturdy cardboard cover is still in the original shrinkwrap with the original hype sticker and is in Very Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to minor corner dings, fading along the seams & fading in general, and ring wear, etc... There are NO split seams. There is a small slit in the shrink at the top seam stemming from the side opening.

This cover typically does not age well, but this one is in Very Good+ condition.

The Original Brown custom inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings and ring wear, etc... There are NO split seams.

I obtained this LP sometime in the 1970's. It was gently played back in the day. Not played in over 30 years.
