IGGY AND THE STOOGES "RAW POWER" original UK first pressing with scarce inner
CBS S 65586 (1973) stamped matrix A1/B1. B-side runout has 'PN – –' inscribed, which means the lacquer was cut by Pete Norman who also did the first Led Zeppelin album. So the real deal sonically speaking . . .
Other than a very short run of the initial 1977 budget label Embassy release, this is the only place you'll find the more vibrant (drums and bass) version of "Search and Destroy" . . . superb
This copy comes complete with the original black and white inner sleeve, which is without splits but, like all others I've seen, has some aging/yellowing.
Outer sleeve shows signs of handling and shelf wear but given the thinness of the cardboard used and no protective laminate it is pretty much as good as it gets these days. Spine is fully readable and unmarked
Disc is clean, some signs of sleeve removal and a light surface mark across 'I Need Somebody ' and 'Shake Appeal' but it doesn't register. There is minor surface noise between tracks but nothing I consider that distracts from the actual delivery of the music. Turn it up and let it rip . . .
