'Oasis' is surely Peter Skellern's masterpiece. Written with Mary Hopkin ('Those Were The Days My Friend' - remember?) in mind with a UK-wide tour lined up following release of the album. Sadly the tour never took place due to Mary Hopkin being ill. Consequently we only have this wonderful album to remember the wonderful music. As always with Peter Skellern the style is richly romantic, so if you're ok with romantic popular music of a high quality you're in for a treat! Apart from Mary Hopkin and Julian Lloyd Webber, the band included a host of top session musicians from the era. Top quality with a capital Q.
This LP came from a comparatively small collection of a vinyl enthusiast whose LPs were almost all in near mint or even unused condition. The vinyl and the sleeve of this album are in an excellent condition, and in my opinion are near mint. UK buyers only please. Thank you.
