+++ VERTIGO HOLY GRAIL - UK FIRST PRESSING +++

One of the rarest Vertigo Swirl releases. Complete with fold-out sleeve and Vertigo poly-lined inner sleeve.

GRADING: VG/VG+ (disc / cover)
DESCRIPTION: Full disclosure - record had an edge warp when I found it. It has been professionally de-warped on an Orb Flattener machine and each side plays with light swooshes (about one and a half minutes on each side). More noticeable on Side Two which is quieter - Side One is rockier so it's not so apparent. Previously the record jumped but after flattening, it plays fine on my Technics 1210s (with tracking weight set to 2.5g) with no skips or jumps - I can't guarantee how it will play on other hi-fi systems.
Record has surface scuffs (numerous on Side One, but Side Two is cleaner), but no feelable scratches, once you get past the light whooshes (about a minute on each side) it plays excellent with some light static in quieter passages and occasional light ticks - I'd grade at VG - still an enjoyable listen. Labels clean.   Cover generally excellent - has light edge rubbing and light creasing on flaps on each side. Small 1" tear on left hand die-cut, but not too noticeable - this sleeve usually has damage of some sort. Spine properly legible. I've put photos displaying any issues.
Inner sleeve has some discolouring and wear and torn whole way down right side, and has catalogue number written top right and "0671" date stamp bottom left - so definitely original with this release. Could be fairly easily replaced/upgraded, but including as this is obviously the sleeve which has lived with this record for over 50 years! Record will be supplied in brand new white poly-lined inner sleeve.
SO, to summarise - a perfectly acceptable copy of one of the rarest Vertigo releases, with a few obvious issues (which I hope I've clearly listed), but a decent listen and definitely a great addition to any progressive rock collection.
