The Holdovers soundtrack album perfectly reflects the music from the period with a classic collection of rock, folk and Christmas music along with poignant score pieces by composer Mark Orton (who also scored Alexander Payne's film 'Nebraska'). Music from standout artists such as Cat Stephens, The Allman Brothers, Labi Siffre and Damien Jurado is featured along with Christmas songs including tracks by The Temptations, The Trapp Family and The Swingle singers.All of this is packaged as a deluxe double vinyl album with artwork that makes it looks like a 1970's time-capsule, and includes liner notes by Alexander Payne. It's a wonderful companion to the film - there is so much great music on this fantastic, collectable album.
