Yet The Great Spectacular also functions as a greatest hits of sorts, debuting tracks which would be professionally recorded across Dixie Dregs' classic 1977-1979 Capricorn Records albums, as well as during guitarist/band leader Steve Morse's stint in Kansas. The four surviving original Dixie Dregs members will be touring beginning in April 2024, with Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess joining the band on keyboards. Original copies of The Great Spectacular are rare collectors' items. This reissue will be pressed on white vinyl, to match the cover art. Will appeal to existing Dixie Dregs and Steve Morse fans plus fans who know Morse from Deep Purple and Kansas, or who are fans of Rod Morgenstein through Winger.
