This self-titled 1972 lp, produced by Leon Russell and released on Russell's label Shelter, is considered the holy grail of songwriting. Artists such as Lyle Lovett, who has long praised Ramsey, still names the record as one of his greatest inspirations. The album, which featured Ramsey on the cover wearing a tilted-back cowboy hat and a mischievous grin, was passed around pickers circles and college campuses, along with the message "You have to listen to this guy."

This rare Promo lp is in Near Mint condition. There are absolutely no “spindle hole” marks on the labels to indicate any play time & it has retained most of its original beautiful sheen. The Cover has very, very faint ringwear & there is fraying on the spine. The Lyrics Innersleeve & Hype Sticke rare are in gorgeous condition without any rips or tears, no writing or markings, etc
