From Epic Records this is  LONDON CALLING  by  THE CLASH, a beautiful audiophile pressing on ~160 grams of high definition/high density virgin vinyl still SEALED in loose wrap from the factory so that no heat ever comes near the finished LPs. This stereo album was remastered using the finest techniques of 2004 and packaged in high-gloss jacket reproducing all original artwork and containing all material included in the original 1979 US edition.

The album's front cover was designed by Ray Lowry and was a tip of the hat to Elvis Presley's debut album cover pictured above. The front cover photo of Simonon smashing his Fender during a show at The Pallidium in New York (September 21, 1979) was taken by Pennie Smith who originally didn't want to use it. She thought it too out of focus. In 2002 Smith's photo was named the best rock and roll photograph of all time by Q Magazine stating "it captures the ultimate rock 'n' roll moment -- total loss of control". Note: The Elvis album is not part of this auction; the photo is used only as comparison.

One of the first pressings from the first audiophile mother, this 2-LP set demonstrates superb sound.  A rare and elegant piece.

When you buy from a small Mom & Pop business you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home, a second yacht or a four hundred million dollar golden parachute.  Instead, you’re helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a Mom put food on the table, a Dad pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college. Our customers are our shareholders; they are the ones we strive to make happy. Thank you for supporting small businesses.
