Cry For A Shadow was recorded by The Boys as a fill-in at the end of a Tony Sheridan Hamburg session in '61.  It's a great instrumental that name-drops England's leading 1961 group, The Shadows, in its title.  The authorship of this little number is the unique team of Harrison/Lennon, although no one can seem to remember what John contributed to George's guitar tour-de-force.  It's the first of only two instrumentals released during The Beatles' entire recording history (Flying, from Magical Mystery Tour, was the other).

Talk about scarce!  There were only 2000 copies issued of the In The Beginning box set (from which this 45 is taken), and it was released in the UK only.  Each single in the set has original 1961-1962 recordings by The Beatles on beautiful colored vinyl.  This is undoubtedly one of the rarest commercial Beatles 45s ever pressed; here's one uber-rare disc for your collection at a bargain price...
