Gregory Isaacs - Lonely Soldier / (Version) - Green Door GD 4054 (1973)
Well the perfect combination for me, the Cool Ruler covering one of the best pieces of Deep Vietnam Soul ever - Lonely Soldier by Mike Williams , sweet vocals as always and a tight reggae rhythm, a truly great and underrated 45.
Visually its VG to VG - with a few liht marks and scratches, plays pretty well with odd light pop and click, checkout the clip.
Both Labels are clean.
I've been a collector of records for 25 years, and mainly reggae & soul over the last 15 years, I've also sold many rare and collectable Reggae & related, Northern Soul and other records, I grade according to the Record Collector Price Guide system, and have never had a problem in the past with my grading standards. I tend to err on the side of caution, but its best if you listen to the soundclip and make your own opinion, the clips are recorded directly with Audacity from my stereo with an SL1210 which just has a generic cartridge and needle in at the moment, so its basic but unadjusted.
