Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the finest 1966 CLASSIC BEATLES Albums of all time.

Revolver is the seventh studio album by English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 5 August 1966 by Parlophone Records in the United Kingdom and on 8 August 1966 by Capitol Records in the United States. The album was produced by George Martin and features many tracks with an electric guitar-rock sound that contrasts with their previous LP, the folk rock-inspired Rubber Soul (1965). In Britain, the 14 tracks from Revolver were released to radio stations throughout July 1966, "building anticipation for what would clearly be a radical new phase in the group's recording career".

The title "Revolver", like "Rubber Soul" before it, is a pun, referring both to a kind of handgun as well as the "revolving" motion of the record as it is played on a turntable. The Beatles had a difficult time coming up with this title. According to Barry Miles in his book Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now, the title that the four had originally wanted was Abracadabra, until they discovered that another band had already used it.

"Taxman"

"Eleanor Rigby"

"I'm Only Sleeping"

"Love You To"

"Here, There and Everywhere"

"Yellow Submarine"

"She Said She Said"

"Good Day Sunshine"

"And Your Bird Can Sing"

"For No One"

"Doctor Robert"

"I Want to Tell You"

"Got to Get You into My Life"

"Tomorrow Never Knows"

Second pressing, 1966 until 1969. The Second (standard) pressing of Revolver has the same labels as the first pressing, but other matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 605-2; Side 2: XEX 606-2 (or -3).

This vinyl was pressed on the EMI on old machines press. IT?S NOT CBS PRESSING as many people think! THIS IS EMI PRESSING! To date only three Beatles albums have been found in this variation and they're A Hard Day's Night, Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Variation B. This variation has Times New Roman font. This label exhibits a new layout design most notably with side one having both 'Taxman' and 'Eleanor Rigby' on the first line. Yet it also displays the incorrect Dr. Robert spelling on side 2. The credits pattern of 'Song (Composer)-Lead Singer' has also now switched to 'Song-Lead Singer (Composer)'. This probably appeared in late 1966.

The VINYL is in VG condition.

The LAMINATED FLIPBACK SLEEVE (E.J.Day) is in EX condition. (see photos)

Catalogue Number - PMC 7009

Matrix Numbers - XEX 605-2 / XEX 606-3

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS , PLEASE ASK ME , YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

All records are professionally cleaned using a MOTH cleaning system prior to despatch. Not only does this wet clean/vacuuming process remove surface marks such as fingerprints, etc, it also significantly reduces background noise and many argue that the lower noise floor results in opening up of the sound and improved fidelity.

A word about hairline marks. It is almost impossible to find any non-sealed record without any hairline marks - many had them from new, particularly if sold with cardboard inner sleeves. They are a result of storage and use and have little impact on sound quality.

I package my records in the strongest purpose made mailers for maximum safety.

All records are removed from their picture sleeves where appropriate and posted in a separate plain white inner to avoid damage during transit.

The following is the scale I use to grade my records , please buy with confidence.

MINT:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks

or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT:

The record shows some signs of having been played,

but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The vinyl may have some hairline surface scuffs which will be only slightly visible.

The cover and packaging might have minor wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:

The record has obviously been played many times,

but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,

is acceptable.

GOOD:

The record has been played so much

that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated.

perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover suffers from folding, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

POSTAGE and DISCOUNTS:

THE MORE YOU BUY , THE MORE YOU SAVE

"European" Example of Postage Discount (Recorded Delivery) -

2 LP's Won = Only 7.50 Shipping per LP (15.00)

3 LP's Won = Only 5.84 Shipping per LP (17.50)

For multiple purchases , PLEASE WAIT for me to send you a combined postage invoice at the end of the auction day BEFORE making payment otherwise you will end up paying me more postage than is required as postage discounts have to be manually applied.

LEAVING FEEDBACK and UNDERSTANDING DSR SCORES:

I always strive to provide a 5-star service to my customers by stating my policies upfront, answering questions quickly, sending packages daily, and charging *realistic* safe shipping! In eBay's new feedback system, when you give 4 stars it may seem like a great score. For instance, a 4 in Shipping Time means "Quickly". Ebay, however, considers this a sub-par mark. Their standards require sellers to maintain 4.8 & above, or be penalized with higher fees and lower standing in search results. If you are satisfied with the transaction upon receipt of your item, please don't hesitate to respond with all 5 stars! If you are not pleased, simply contact me and I will work hard to make sure you achieve 100% satisfaction.

Payment Policies

I accept the following forms of payment: PayPal.

Please note that I do not offer a 'holding' service pending the outcome of future auctions.

All Items won will be invoiced at the end of the auction day and payment will be required within a maximum of 5 working days from the end of the auction.
