The first full-length release from the UK’s Television Personalities
was originally released in 1981. And Don't The Kids Just Love It is
lo-fi, minimalist, and quirky pop, post-punk, psychedelia, and folk
from one of the era’s most idiosyncratic songwriters. Featuring such
classic tracks as “I Know Where Syd Barrett Lives” and “A Picture of
Dorian Gray” this is one of the greatest and strangest debut records
ever. 180 gram vinyl reissue.

Recorded at Mount Pleasant Four-Track Recording Studio, London, England. Originally released on Fire (7). Includes liner notes by Clive Solomon and Alan McGee.
The first full-length from Dan Treacy's post-punk/psychedelic project Television Personalities was its most amateurish but also its most consistently listenable. There are bits of the weirdness that would make their way over in heavier doses on 1981's MUMMY YOU'RE NOT WATCHING ME, but, for the most part, AND THE KIDS is a straightforward bit of lo-fi proto-twee. Songs like "This Angry Silence" are rooted in classic pop radio, but are also informed by a desire to take the edge off punk's very first wave. They may have been practically KIDS when they recorded it, but LOVE IT remains the Personalities' most accessibly enduring album.

At City Hall Records we understand that you want your LPs to arrive in the same condition they're described.  So, we pack them carefully in a cardboard mailer, insulated with thick cardboard pads on each side, and with reinforcement on the corners. We want to be sure you get your LPs in the same condition in which they leave our warehouse. 

We've shipped hundreds of LPs to eBay buyers and have had no complaints about their condition.

Quality Control

Since all of our items are factory sealed we will not be responsible for an item's condition unless (you ask us to) inspect it.  Even though incorrect, defective or damaged product is very rare, we highly recommend that you allow us to inspect your item before we ship it out.  Just let us know by writing PLEASE INSPECT when making your purchase.   

If there is something wrong with your record that could only have been seen by such inspection, and you did not request it, we will not be responsible for it.

Also, many LP buyers prefer to have the disc shipped outside the jacket to minimize damage to the jacket.  If you have requested that we inspect the disc, then we'll pack it outside the jacket.
