The Beatles - Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You. 45-R 4949

The Beatles 1962 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You' 7" single. Released on the 5th October 1962, this comes complete with the rare original 'URGENT SPECIAL RUSH COPY TOP POP!' demo sleeve in wonderful EXCELLENT condition. The vinyl is offered here in GREAT VERY GOOD+ condition.

These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.

Released on the red Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Recording First Published 1962' text. The 'ZT' tax code is embossed on the b-side label dating the production of this single to between - October 1962 and 26th November 1962 when the 'ZT' tax code changed to 'PT' (a very, very early issue on offer here). The a-side features genuine 'FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE' sticker and small 'A' sticker. The b-side features an 'ATV MUSIC LIBRARY' sticker who I assume would have been the original recipitant. A wonderful and rare example of this early rare Beatles single.

Side 1. 7XCE 17144-1N 1 M ZT

Side 2. 7XCE-17145-1N 1 A ZT

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. BUT '125' written neatly on the a-side.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
