This 12" Felt Platter Mat is designed specifically for use on high end single vinyl audio turntables.
The mat has a firm density but only weighs approximately 40 grams and has a thickness of 1mm. The dimensions and properties of this mat makes it ideal for high end turntables but is suitable for any 12" sized vinyl playing platter.
We have sourced the very best poly-felt from 3M in San Diego and our process is to soak the mat in a carbon solution and then heat treat it at over 200c. This gives it very high anti-static properties which is perfect for supporting the record with minimal static noise transference.
It has a stunning crystal sublimated image that is effectively dyed throughout the profile of the mat rather than 'embossed' or 'printed' onto the surface. This gives the mat a totally flat playing surface - ideal for vinyl records. It is then heat treated once more to ensure that the design is durable and hard wearing for continued use.
