Here is how I understand it; First copies off the plate were for testing. A handful of these were pressed to see if there were any defects or problems. They came with a white label in plain white covers in a rice paper sleeve. No shrink wrap, no markings, just the codes in the dead vinyl for identification.

The next step was to press copies for the sales reps and such. There were a very limited number of these made but the number varied depending on the title. So these were, other than the test discs, the first pressings and of the best quality.

Finally, the production runs were done.

This record is a demonstration copy. It came from the personal collection of the original Western Area Sales Representative For Mobile
