Condition; VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and contents without any major defects, is acceptable.

Hummingbird were a band, formed in 1974 by of and fame. Hummingbird three successful , released by using as their . The original line up included members of the second , and guitarist , keyboardist , bassist , drummer Conrad Isidore and second Bernie Holland. At the start of sessions for their first album they were joined by for a brief period but he did not contribute to the album and left to work on his own project. After the first album Bernie Holland was replaced by guitarist Robert Ahwai and drummer replaced Isidore on the next two albums,vocalists and Liza Strike were brought in to complement the band. They found success mainly in the , also in and .
Hummingbird was the first of three albums recorded by the band . The album was produced by .
With initial interest from and , the band started work on this album in mid July 1973. At this stage took part in minor sessions with the band, but this did not develop into a final contribution. After signing to they transferred to studios to finish off the album during September and October 1974.
