A great opportunity to buy an original copy of The Who's first VINYL LP called "My Generation".

This is a U.K. FIRST pressing released in 1965 on the Brunswick label (LAT 8616)(mono) and has 12 tracks (see photos for track listings).

The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:-  MG-10256-1B (side one) and MG-10257-1B  (side two).

The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks noticeable, but nothing serious to affect the sound quality. I have played the whole of both sides and they play fine and sound great, with just the odd light click noticeable in places and also evident on the run-out grooves of side one. Overall the sound quality is far better than I was expecting and it is a great example of mid-to-late 60's mono recordings.

The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects, but when tilted towards the light, there appears to have been a sticker in place at some stage on side one and some spindle marks are evident.

The cover is laminated on the front only. The first impressions of this 50 year old front cover is that it is in excellent condition. The edges are still strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable (see photos). There is some minor ring wear on the front and some light creasing near one of the corners. This really is all that can be commented on for the front. However, the back cover has signs of aging and handling wear along the opening edge and is quite stained in places. There are also some pen marks alongside the track listings (see photo). Overall the complete cover is in a GOOD condition.

Despite the shortcomings of the back cover, this is a very collectable Who LP, with great sound quality and it should be of interest to avid collectors.
