4 x 45 rpm, extended-play, 7" coloured vinyl singles
These are 4 of a series of recordings made for the HMV Junior Record Club between 1959 and 1963, produced by Fiona Bentley
The individual records are as follows:- The Tale Of Squirrel Nutkin (Beatrix Potter) - dramatised with a full cast, music and lyrics by Cyril Ornadel and David Croft. Narrated by Vivien Leigh with Barbara Brown as Peter Rabbit and Betty Wolfe as Mrs. Rabbit. Colour, laminated sleeve with cast, track listing and notes by Lord Aberdare. Issued in 1960. Red vinyl. Catalogue number:- 7EG 106 The Tale Of Peter Rabbit (Beatrix Potter) - dramatised with a full cast, music and lyrics by Cyril Ornadel and David Croft. Narrated by Vivien Leigh with Graham Stark as Squirrel Nutkin. Colour, laminated sleeve with cast, track listing and notes by Lord Aberdare. Issued in 1960. Red vinyl. Catalogue number:- 7EG 102 Carnival Of The Animals (Saint-Saens) - narrated by Irina Baronova from a script by Margaret Harmsworth. Laminated, colour sleeve with track listing and notes. Issued in 1963. Blue vinyl. Catalogue number:- 7EG 134 Swan Lake, The Story Of The Ballet - narrated by Moira Shearer with the music of Tchaikowsky played by The Sinfonia Of London, conducted by John Hollingsworth. Laminated, colour sleeve with cast, track listing and notes by Lord Aberdare. Issued in 1960. Red vinyl.

Condition

The records themselves appear to be in good condition, there are only a few tiny scratches.  We have no facility to play the record so we can't attest to playback quality.
The outer sleeves are all sound and intact, without any tears or splits. There are some creases and the laminate is starting to lift in one or two places. There are some marks and there is a little grubbiness around the flipbacks.  All show some some ring wear.  Swan Lake has the original price label still attached and the flipbacks on both Beatrix Potters are starting to lift at one corner.
Only 'Squirrel Nutkin' has a clear, plastic inner sleeve.
