Due to various interpretations of the Goldmine Standard I grade on my own scale as follows.

Slim's Grading Guide:

(NM)- Sealed. Never played or played once. You will rarely see these as I grade conservatively.

(EX)- Plays with little to no crackle. Record still glossy. May contain one or two light surface marks that do not affect sound, but record should appear essentially brand new.

(VG+) - Plays with light crackle usually only heard in quiet passages but other than that record plays with excellent sound clarity. Record may contain light surface marks or visible blemishes that do not affect sound.

(VG)- Will contain one or more of the following defects. May play with crackle that can be heard over music throughout play. May contain scratches that cause a pop or snap but no skips. Record may or may not have gloss. However none of these will overpower the songs and most records will not have all these issues at once. Still an enjoyable listen.

(G+) - I usually won't go as low as a G+ but in case i do here's the definition. Plays with very heavy crackle that overpowers songs. Usually record will have lost its gloss and may contain deeper scratches or blemishes that affect sound in brushes snaps pops etc.
