8 UNPLAYED MINT MONO 2009 Fantasy Records 45s with PICTURE SLEEVES!
We've made this lot even better with the addition of 45 Revolutions Per Minute, the hyper-rare promo-only single; & Green River, one of CCR's early hits. 8 UNPLAYED MINT GEM 45s, available here in their original mono mix for the first time in over 40 years! They exactly duplicate the original Fantasy singles & include PICTURE SLEEVES. 4 of these sleeves are previously-unreleased, created especially for these issues! Only 10,000 pressed of each 45.
Creedence Clearwater Revival is widely acknowledged as an American rock 'n' roll band of the first rank; a remarkable assessment, considering their relatively short recording career. They released 12 singles and 7 LPs on Fantasy Records in the five years from 1968 to 1972. They never had a chart-topper, but scored five #2 hits; and from Proud Mary to Sweet Hitch-Hiker, every one of their singles made the top ten. By the end of their run they were a three-piece; John Fogerty's brother Tom (1941-1990), the original lead singer/manager of the band (as Tommy Fogerty and The Blue Velvets) decided to go solo in 1971. After the prophetically-titled 1972 single Someday Never Comes stalled at #25, John decided to disband CCR. It was a fateful decision; he wouldn't reach the top ten again for 12 long years. Fogerty's solo resurgence began in earnest with the classic 1984 LP Centerfield, and he's been chooglin' for over 35 years since.
Some of the pic sleeves have minor faults: small splits or bends (nothing major). They present beautifully & the 45s are absolutely perfect!
