If there are any classical music opera fans out there, then please read this and see our other listings. We are clearing out our record collection – or rather thinning it down – and have some wonderful record sets for sale. This offering is the amazing and renowned Decca recording of the complete Ring Cycle by Wagner. Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried, and Gotterdammerung, all conducted by Solti in this boxed set of boxed sets. The great names of opera Nilsson, Windgassen, Frick, Discher-Dieskau, Sutherland, Bohme, Wachter, Lindholm, Malaniuk, Kreppel et al all feature. A wonderful Christmas present for the opera lover.

We’ve described all our records as used, but honestly most of our opera/ classical collection is pristine, some un-played I’m ashamed to say – can’t say that for our rock and roll days, but there you go. As you can see from the photographs each cycle (sub-boxed set of records) is accompanied by a booklet detailing the plot and librettos. The matrix of LP1 IN Das Rheingold is ZAL 4260 – 20GR, the matrix of LP4 of Die Walkure is ZAL 7131- 16GR, the matrix of LP9 of Siegfried is ZAL 5742 – 13GR, and the matrix of LP14 of Gotterdammerung is ZAL 6673 – 22GR.  The box has light scuffs, the booklet is really good and the records are in brilliant condition – no scratches, scuffs or even signs of playing.
