7" record released here for the first time ever, influential U.K singer songwriter Johnny Kidd s unissued 1957 demo recordings with his skiffle band The Five Nutters... Taken from the only existing source, this is the very first time Freddie Heath glorious gravelly vocals were ever recorded... Stored away for many years, these recordings have never seen the light of day, until now... Although The Five Nutters only lasted 1 year, these rare, priceless recordings are essential to any Johnny Kidd & The Pirates fan and to the history of Rock & Roll... Along side these 2 historic recordings, on a limited 7 (MOOCHIN13), is Johnny Kidd s debut single, Please Don t Touch and the then B-side Growl , which reached number 25 in 1959 on the UK singles chart... Although Johnny Kidd s career was cut short by his untimely death in 1966, when he was killed in a car crash in Radcliffe, Lancashire, his legacy lived on influencing and shaping the UK Rock & Roll scene... His number one hit Shakin All Over has been covered many times by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Adam Ant, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, MC5, The Ramones and featured famously on The Who s Live at Leeds album...
