THIS EXCELLENT RECORD IS LONG-DELETED AND HAS BECOME HIGHLY-PRIZED BY COLLECTORS OF QUALITY VINYL AND LOVERS OF FINE MUSIC. CATCH THIS IF YOU CAN - IT IS AN ABSOLUTE CORKER! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UNITED KINGDOM FIRST-PRESSING. MATRIX STAMPERS: FIRST PRESS  MATRICES. YEAR OF RELEASE: 1968. COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE: UNITED KINGDOM. LABEL DESIGN: RED/MAROON LABELS WITH SILVER LETTERING. 'REGAL ZONOPHONE' LOGO AT 12 O'CLOCK. 'SOLD IN THE UK' 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' TEXT. SLEEVE DESIGN: SINGLE SLEEVE. HEAVILY TEXTURED FRONT; CARDBOARD REAR WITH FLIPBACKS. 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' TEXT. CONDITION/SLEEVE: VERY GOOD. CONDITION/LABELS: EXCELLENT. CONDITION/VINYL: SIDE 1: EXCELLENT.

Vinyl: EX.  A splendid heavy vinyl that sounds marvellous all the way through.  It has only wispy retraction type paper scuffs and incredibly there is just one wispy hairline which is so shallow that you could hardly call it that and NO scratches at all. Of course this is the earliest ultra heavy quality vinyl being an original first press with the very first  matrices and earliest mother stampers. Not very many out there left now so late in the day ....  What a delight to find this classic! Tested on my trusted Linn Sondek/Rotel/Technics set-up and it sounded fantastic! This is the very hard to find Mono mix!!

Sleeve: VG .  A matt single heavily textured sleeve without any major damage or writing. Please look at the pictures to inform yourself of the condition of the sleeve. Around the edges deposits of removed sellotape which had been applied to protect the edges. A strange thing that was done in the 60s and 70s and I have been guilty of it myself as well in the misguided belief that this would help the album withstand the ravages of time. These deposits are vaguely visible but have not done any damage to the sleeve apart from one of the flipbacks to the back bottom. NO splits or tears.
