This is the cardboard sleeve version of the 'double B side' NME/The Only Sound.
As you probably know, it was produced by Robert Plant and, according to vocalist Eddie Blower, the Zep frontman also sang on NME.
The cardboard sleeve is pretty shabby (but undamaged.) There are lots of marks and creases on the front and the back is a bit grubby.
The inner paper sleeve is in great condition.
The record itself seems flawless! I tested both sides myself and they play perfectly with no faults.
Interestingly, the labels are the wrong way round: The NME side actually plays The Only Sound. The Only Sound side actually plays NME. I don't know if this was common to all the pressings or if this is a rarity.
The message in the run-out grooves reads: "WBA OK"
This item will be sent as a special delivery or 1st class signed for (whatever the Post Office advises me to do.)
Please look at the photos.
Please ask questions.
I know that copies of this record have sold for £150 on eBay. Because of the condition of the cardboard sleeve, I'm starting the bidding on this one at £50.
