Terraplane takes its title from the 1930s Hudson Motor Car Company
of Detroit model, which also inspired the Robert Johnson song “Terraplane Blues.”
 It is Earle’s 16th studio album since the release of his highly influential
1986 debut Guitar Town. As its title suggests, the album is very much a
blues record, a third of which was written while Earle toured Europe
alone for five weeks with just a guitar, a mandolin and a backpack. Earle,
who was raised outside of San Antonio before migrating to Houston,
offers about Texas blues, “There was Fort Worth where the model
was Freddie King, and there was the Houston scene which was
dominated by Lightnin’ Hopkins. Two very different styles.”
He saw both of these giants, and was also exposed to Johnny Winter,
Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Billy Gibbons, all of which
make their influence heard here within Earle’s masterful storytelling.

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer. 
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to 
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment. 
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve. 
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested. 
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape 
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to 
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in

the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our 
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that 
you receive your item in the best possible condition.

 LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority 
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping, 
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included 
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials. 
Signing up for our newsletter will give you early warnings. 
Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal 
Service's First Class Mail International. Priority International 
Is also available.
