This is a used copy of Chesky CR1.  I am the original owner.

This recording was made by Kenneth Wilkinson in the early 1960's for Reader's Digest.  It features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Massimo Freccia.  The program includes the "Symphonie Fantastique" by Hector Berlioz.

Chesky CR1 appears on Arthur Salvatore's "Basic" audiophile list.

This record has been a prized member of my collection and was well cared for.  It has been played fewer than 10 times.

Shipments will be made via USPS Priority Mail for buyers within the United States at the actual cost of shipment.

Shipments outside the United States will be made by International First Class mail, also charged at the actual cost of shipment.

Buyers outside the United States may be required to pay additional VAT or other customs fees, depending on the destination country.  Please do not ask me to falsify a customs form to lower your cost, I will not do so.

A few words about my record collection:

I began seriously collecting audiophile analog LPs in the mid-1980s.  My collection is largely classical, but includes a little bit of everything.  As an audiophile, I have kept very good care of my records and even bought backup copies of my favorites as an insurance policy against accidental damage.  (Many of those backup copies are still unopened.)  The collection includes releases from Reference Recordings, Chesky, Sheffield Lab, RCA Living Stereo, Mercury Living Presence, Decca, most of the Lyrita catalog, and a few rare gems that I discovered by accident from unlikely sources.

All of it will be sold, but honestly, I don't want these records to end up in the hands of people who won't appreciate them.  Some of the rarest LPs in my collection are too valuable to give up to just anyone.  (True audiophiles will understand.)  So, please don't expect bargain basement prices - these are NOT bargain basement records.  If a price seems very high, there will be a good reason.

I will try to be completely honest when describing individual records.  If I know of specific flaws, I will include details in the description.  I will tell you when I am the original owner of a record, and when I know, I will tell you approximately how many times the record has been played.

If record jackets are not still in their original shrink wrap, they will be protected by 5.0 mil clear polypropylene outer sleeves.  If the original inner sleeves were damaged or made from plain paper, those will be replaced with Diskeeper Ultimate Audiophile Inner Sleeves and the original inner sleeve (if I have it) will be included with the package.  Records will be carefully packaged for shipment and will be insured to cover the cost of your purchase.

Although I do not normally accept returns, I do not want anyone to be dissatisfied with their purchase.  Please let me know if you have any issues at all and we can discuss options to make it right.
