THE MASTER MUSICIANS OF JOUJOUKA - "PIPES OF PAN with BRIAN JONES" 12" lp

Rare 1971 UK 1st issue, with original printed g/f inner, and original 2 promo sheets, describing the album + its background.

The original copies of this were quickly withdrawn, and paper labels put on the front cover title [see pics 1 + 2], making it "Brian Jones with the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka" instead of "Brian Jones plays with the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka".  All issues other than the very 1st issue of this album came preprinted with the wording adjusted.

Similarly with the labels, the wording was changed to "Brian Jones with the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka" with a small piece of paper stuck over the word "plays", hiding it - see pics 5 + 6 of the label on side 1. Over time the side 2 label scrap of paper - hiding the word "plays" - has fallen away, showing how it was originally printed before being altered by the record company [pic 7].

Matrices on runout:  COC 49100 A2, COC 49100 B1, with "Rolling Stones Records" etched by hand in runouts on either side.

g/f cover:  vg  no tears, or seam splits - has a couple of words in biro on rear face at top

original g/f printed inner: ex-  no rips, writing or other damage
