The Beastie Box Collectors series #2

Now here’s a little story I’ve got to tell about 4 collectors you know so well. It started way back in history with Astro, Beastienut, Prof D, and me.
For those not in Beastie Boys collecting circles, here is a brief history of how the item you are viewing was acquired. Top Beastie Boys collectors around the world contributed to the discography at Beastiemania.com, collections were amassed by individuals, information was shared freely, and there was much rejoicing. Three of the four largest collections existing (to my knowledge) belonged to myself, Astrobboy, and Beastienut. Beastienut and Astrobboy liquidated their collections in favor of a simpler life, and again there was much rejoicing. Prof D and I were the main beneficiaries of the aforementioned liquidation. We were graciously afforded the opportunity to acquire many rare and unique pieces. Both Prof D and I carried on collecting vigorously until his untimely death (RIP with all of my love and respect). Again, fortune allowed me to preserve his collection along with all of the items he had procured from forefathers Astrobboy and Beastienut by purchasing it from his estate. The end result is that I have now combined and cataloged all 4 collections. The considerable overlap of duplicate releases has allowed me to offer this gem for auction.

After collecting Beastie Boys vinyl for over 30 years I have seen this one pop up for Auction 3 times (the same copy twice no less). I can verify that at least 3 different copies exist. Of those, this is one of the three. This item is not by any means a "mint" or "pristine" copy hence the lowest possible grading. If you, or the person you are buying it for, is someone who is looking for a copy in excellent condition this is not for them. However... given that it is more rare than 98% (conservatively, its likely more rare than 99.5%)  of the other items in the Beastie Boys discography, this is an item that should be viewed as an historic relic of sorts. Having said all of that, it's a 32 year old test pressing of the Beastie Boys' first 12" single that you'll have to search for over a decade to find in any condition. I have played the vinyl on both sides and recorded it without any skips. The run out grooves and dead wax info are identical to the commercial release (down to the Herbie signature and MASTERDISK stamp) so it is beyond a doubt a legitimate test press.

BONUS: The winning bidder will also receive the original 1985 commercial release Pictures 5-8, the 2007 EU only reissue Pictures 9 & 10, and the 2002 UK unofficial release Pictures 11 & 12, making this the only auction I've ever seen which includes every existing version of this EP.
