Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!
I've collected 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life!!! Obviously, 90% of the LP's I've ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, I've decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there!!! Make no mistake, I'll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find!!!
I aim to put a weekly batch up (time permitting) every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I've got!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered",weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).
I try to be one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and I'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!
I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!

THIS IS A REAL ONE-OFF OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A GREAT EARLIEST EVER DAY OF RELEASE NO FILE UNDER POP EXAMPLE OF THIS INCREDIBLY RARE ICONIC UK 1967 MONO PSYCH CLASSIC!!! AND NOT ONLY THAT, THIS HAS BRILLIANT AUDIO TOO!!! DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS AWESOME PIECE OF PSYCH HISTORY, BID NOW!!!
This psych classic sold barely anything as a Mono (stereo was the new standard in '67) and had a very, very small run before being reissued on the black and white EMI label. This album is SURELY one of the best of all time. It has to be the best psychedelia i've ever heard. If you've never listened to it before, it's guaranteed to blow your mind!!! It certainly showed me just what sort of things are possible with sound. As you probably know, this original Mono Blue & Black NO ‘File Under Pop” Columbia 1967 UK 1st Press is impossibly rare, even more so considering worldwide Pink Floyd collectors have snapped up most of them - so when one hits the market, it really is a moment to behold, let alone one with such AWESOME audio!!!
Easily the greatest thing Pink Floyd ever did with every song bar one written by the genius of Syd Barrett, one of music's most notorious acid casualty's. We should be grateful that he wrote this masterpiece, one of THE greatest albums of all time. This original Mono mix is extra special. Mostly mixed by Syd, you've GOT to hear the "Ever So High" bit in Flaming in it's Mono form, it sounds truly incredible with Roger Waters Bass riff covered in echo!!! There's a number of other differences from the stereo version too such as a growling organ at the start of Interstellar Overdrive, and if you listen carefully to the mono mix of "Pow R. Toc H.",you can hear extra vocals such as a stoned Roger Waters howling with laughter!!! Syd was a true, true genius, and this was his genius album (with a little help from his friends of course!). An absolute timeless classic psychedelic rock LP.
Tracklist : Astonomy Domine, Lucifer Sam, Matlda Mother, Flaming, Pow R. Toc H., Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk, Interstellar Overdrive, The Gnome, Chapter 24, The Scarecrow, and Bike.
Musicians : Syd Barrett- Vocals / Lead Guitar, Roger Waters - Bass Guitar / Vocals, Rick Wright - Organ / Piano, Nick Mason - Drums, and Norman Smith - Producer.
Trivia : This was part of a collection of classic albums recorded in Abbey Road in the summer of 1967 - in the studio's next door, The Beatles were building Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and in the next one on The Pretty Things were building SF Sorrow!
Classic UK 1st Press "KT" blue & black Columbia labels!!! Both sides are FANTASTIC with NO real signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has a small amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this hasn't had too much play over the years at all!!! AWESOME for a 50 year old record!!! Both must grade overall at least as Very Good+!!!
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original 1967 UK Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks great with NO excessively nasty marks, NO deep scratches that ruin playback, and NO vicious scuffs either!!! It just has a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, a very slightly totally cosmetically uneven effect to the vinyl (absolutely no effect on playback whatsoever), some obvious but still relatively light scratches and a few cosmetic scuffs, and a few mild non-sounding hairlines (only visible in angled light) mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Used, but still GOOD for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall visually at least as Good minus!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It really sounds great with NO hisses OR sticks whatsoever!!! In fact, the only thing which stops me grading this higher in just three hops at the very start of side 2 caused by a very small minor needle drag (over before you know it), but otherwise, only (like pretty much all records) has a touch of low level static in places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks, only a few ticks here and there on rare occasions and just the merest hint of crackle on just the very rarest of occasions (incredibly mild and nothing drastic whatsoever) and only a touch of mild "bluesman's fag" atmospheric static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections and between tracks, but it really doesn't overshadow the music AT ALL!!! (it's much more soft and atmospheric rather than the sound of bacon frying!!!) I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! I tend to bring it down by listing every single flaw I noticed, but this remains a hugely enjoyable and clean sounding listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK Columbia vinyl!!! BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably as Very Good minus!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Original UK 1967 front laminated flipback iconic NO FILE UNDER POP E.J Day sleeve complete with original advertisement inner (some easily repairable seam splitting but clean faces with NO writing or graffiti whatsoever)!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and looks BRILLIANT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO tears, NO really bad marks AT ALL, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few signs of general mild ageing such as some creasing and a touch of a record imprint, sonly ome general age dulling to the unlaminated back with some very minor discolouration to the bottom right and just a little dusting to the flipback tips (nothing drastic at all - NO nasty marks, writing OR graffiti whatsoever), a touch of denting/rounding to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing every single negative I can possibly find, but this remains a GREAT sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as beautifully presentable and as strong as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at the least as Good++++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Summary : A used, but BRILLIANT sounding example of this 50 year old INCREDIBLY RARE psych classic UK 1st Press NO FUP Mono Masterpiece!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!

I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
