Skatehut was formed in 2007 as a small family business following a holiday to the USA. The MD has three sons and when his eldest spotted a pair of Heelys in one of the theme parks he decided he had to have a pair!

When they got home they found Heelys were very difficult to get hold of in the UK. They decided that the only thing to do was to start selling them themselves. Within a few months there were over a thousand pairs in their house!

From there we have steadily increased our product range to include skateboards, scooters, skates and much more. We now have over 2000 product lines in stock and more on the way! With all of these products in stock we needed space to hold them all, which we now have with our two warehouses and an amazing 5000 Sq. Ft shop.

We always listen to our customers and add new brands and products every day. We have a great team of people in our warehouse, office and shop to help get these products to you, our customers.

Delivery Details

We understand that most of our customers want to use their items right away! As a result, we offer a range of speedy delivery services. The details for these can be found below.

UK Delivery:

2-3 Day Tracked Royal Mail (Standard):

Our Standard delivery service is by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and is free on orders of £30 value and above. When ordered before 3pm Monday to Friday your order will usually be despatched on the same day. This is a tracked service so you can check your delivery is on the way. This would usually be within 2-3 working days, however, will exclude Sunday as this is a Royal Mail service. Orders placed after 3pm will be despatched on the following working day. If the order is placed after 3pm on a Friday your order will be despatched on the following working day (Monday).

Next Working Day DPD (Express):

Our Express service is by DPD Next Working Day service and is £2.99. When ordered before 5pm Monday to Friday your order will be despatched on the same day. This is a tracked service so you can check the progress of your package. On the day of delivery, you will also receive a text/email notification from the courier to inform you of the estimated one-hour delivery window. This service does not include Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. This service is only available for UK Mainland customers and excludes some Scottish Highland/Postcode areas and Off-shore UK areas (*exclusion postcodes listed below). Orders placed after 5pm Friday will be shipped on Monday.

International Delivery:

The estimated delivery schedule will be displayed during checkout for international delivery locations. Delivery to Europe is by tracked DPD courier by road or their chosen delivery partner in the destination country. While we can deliver to the majority of mainland Europe and select off-shore locations, we are unfortunately unable to deliver to areas which are further afield, such as the Canary or Faroe Islands. Delivery to the USA is by tracked Fed-Ex International priority service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY TAX/IMPORT CHARGES WHICH OCCUR AS A RESULT OF INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. THIS IS A CHARGE WHICH THE CUSTOMER MUST PAY TO BRING FOREIGN GOODS INTO HIS OR HER COUNTRY.

Returns Policy

We are happy to offer our UK customers peace of mind when placing an order of £30 value or more by providing a Free Returns via DPD Store Returns or Royal Mail Tracked Return services. Please ensure that you inform us of your intent to return by opening a return request on your eBay order (within 30 days of delivery).

Now you can order in confidence, safely in the knowledge that should your items not fit correctly or are unwanted you don't need to worry about the cost of returning the goods. A free return label will NOT be included in orders below a value of £30 and must be returned by the customer using a suitable postal service.

Before taking your order/item to one of the return drop-off points outlined below please ensure that: The item/s for return are in a New, Unused and Saleable condition with original product packaging and tags (This does not apply to faulty items). You have opened a return request for the item/s on your eBay order and the return form included with the order has been completed and is enclosed inside the parcel. FREE UK Royal Mail Tracked Return - Smaller items
The Royal mail tracked return service means that you can drop your parcel off at one of over 11,500 Post Offices in the UK. When you drop off your parcel at the Post Office you will be given a receipt that will have the tracking details for your parcel so you can track where it is and see when we receive it. Royal Mail Tracked Return services are usually used for shoes, clothing, skates, skateboards, scooters and other similar sized items. Anything over 5kg or a large shoe/skate box, please use the above DPD Store return method.

International Returns
If returning items from outside the UK the return we are unfortunately unable to provide a free service and this will be at the cost of the customer (unless the item is faulty). It is recommended that a tracked service is used as SkateHut cannot be held accountable for items lost on their return journey. If you are returning a faulty item from outside the UK we recommend that you contact us via eBay immediately with details of your issue and we will assist with the return and resolution accordingly. PLEASE NOTE

-We are unable to accept returns on underwear if they are used or if the seal on the packaging is broken.

-In the case of B-Stock or Ex-Shop items, you must notify us straight away if you are unhappy with your item or else we will not be able to offer a refund. If the item is used following receipt, we will not be able to refund the item. Any cosmetic defects relating to the item are made clear in the item description, so if you are unhappy with its appearance the customer will be required to pay for the return postage.

-Any items deemed to be faulty by the customer must not be returned before first contacting us with full details of the issue and opening a return request. We will aim to contact you within 1 working day to offer a solution. Sending images of the fault where visible can help to speed up this process. An item cannot be refunded or exchanged if used by the customer until an inspection has been made by ourselves. If the problem is repairable, we will send the item back to you free of charge in full working order. If the item is deemed faulty, we will provide further options/advice to resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
