I’ll be listing thousands of records over the next few months. My father worked for RCA & ABC records in the 1970’s and has an incredible collection. Rare titles, test pressings, and more. Overall just great records! These records have sat on the shelf in our record room since the 1970’s. They haven’t been touched in nearly 40 years other than for photos for these auctions. Please add me to your favorite sellers to keep an eye out for some real gems!

Record Condition: VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT. I prefer not to list records as Near Mint because I know many people have different opinions on grading. Hence the fluctuating grading. Guaranteed to be at least Very Good and as good as Excellent. I can guarantee these records have not been played in almost 40 years. Many of the records appear Un-played. My dad said he would normally listen to a record once and then it went on the shelf. But in some cases when he was busy it went on the shelf and hasn’t seen a needle. For the sake of these auctions I am considering ALL Test Pressings as Very Good to Excellent Condition. I feel this is a conservative grading as most sellers would list it better than that. Very good means possible visible surface scratches which do not effect play. Excellent means they may have been played a couple of times. They have barely been used. If there are any scratches or scuffs, they are not noticeable to the average collector. Maybe an expert will put it under a magnifying glass and have an issue, but if that’s the case I would prefer that type of collector does not bid. I love music and I love records and I want whoever owns this record to appreciate it for what it is, a piece of music history, and that the buyer is not a pain in the ass when it comes to grading. Please note if you do not see a picture of a track listing sheet / notes, then it did not have it and therefore does not come with one.

Cover grading : Since these are the plain white sleeves and in no way should have any effect on the condition of the record, ALL TEST PRESSING SLEEVES will be listed as GOOD condition. There may be writing, wear on the corners, discoloring of the sleeve, maybe even a torn seam, but the record is the important part here.

Please see photos and feel free to contact me with any questions before you bid. I’m more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
